What is permanent jewelry? Why should I get Endlessly Linked?

Getting Endlessly Linked can be a sentimental gift for yourself and a loved one, commemorate a special day, or just to add some beauty and sparkle to your life.

Endlessly Linked offers permanent or semi-permanent welded jewelry, custom-sized to fit your wrist, neck, ankle.  After selecting the chain of your choice, our artists will perfect the fit and weld the metal to create your clasp-free jewelry.  Permanent jewelry provides a beautiful low maintenance way to wear jewelry. The chains are made of high quality, 14k white and yellow gold, yellow and rose gold filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel depending on your personal needs and preferences.

What are the types of metal to choose from?

14K Yellow and White Gold - 14K gold is 58% pure gold, 42% alloy metal to increase the material strength.  It can be a variation of color including, yellow, white, and rose gold.  It will not tarnish or turn colors. It is long lasting and durable, however the most expensive option.

Yellow and Rose Gold Filled - Gold filled is a strictly regulated process that involves pressure bonding multiple layers of solid 14K gold with extreme heat over a core of high-quality jeweler’s brass resulting in a durable, quality, real gold product.  Although a gold-filled piece of jewelry is not solid gold, it has the same desirable properties and look of a 14K piece.  It will not tarnish or turn colors. Gold filled is long lasting, durable, and less expensive than 14K gold.

**Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating - gold filled is a USA industry standard that legally requires 1/20th, or 5% pure gold by weight and has 100x more layers of 14K solid gold compared to gold plated jewelry. Gold plating is not suitable to permanent jewelry and not used by Endlessly Linked!**

Sterling Silver - Sterling silver is a high-quality choice for jewelry making due to its 92.5% silver content which makes it harder and more durable than pure silver.  It shares a beautiful bright color comparable to white gold however substantially less expensive.  Sterling silver will keep its bright color overtime even with constant wear with minimal maintenance.

Stainless Steel - Stainless steel is a popular material for jewelry because it is affordable and durable.  It can withstand harsher daily activities, withstanding breakage and tarnishing with minimal maintenance.

Permanent Jewelry FAQ:

How long will my jewelry last? – Your pieces will stay on as long as you’d like!  If for some reason you would like to remove your jewelry, simply cut the chain at the welded ring and save it in case you would like them rewelded on in the future.

Is there a semi-permanent option?-  Yes!  If you would like to design a custom piece of jewelry suitable for long wear but are unable to have a permanent piece of jewelry due to work or other activities we can add a clasp to your jewelry so you can remove it when needed.

What if the chain breaks? – Your jewelry is measured to fit and has no clasp so breakage is unlikely however, like regular clasp jewelry under force it can break. If the jewelry does break, save the chain and it can be welded.  If a break happens at the welded site it will be rewelded at no cost for 30 days.  If the jewelry breaks for any other reason or after 30 days it can be rewelded for $15.

*If the chain is missing, a new chain will need to be purchased.

Can I go through airport security with my jewelry? – Absolutely!  TSA does not ask you to remove fine jewelry, so you are safe to wear your jewelry on your adventures.

Can I wear my jewelry for a medical procedure? – Your doctor may ask you to remove your jewelry for medical procedures, however for many procedures jewelry can remain in place with a doctor approval and a waiver signature.  For some procedures such as an MRI or any other procedure your medical professional deems necessary you can cut your jewelry at the welded ring and have rewelded at a later time.

Who should not get permanent jewelry? – Those with pacemakers should not get permanent jewelry due to the welding process.
